The cast:

IN THE FRINGE is casting performers for the new musical Techies.
We are seeking:

  • Actors aged 18–24


  • Currently studying drama (at least undergraduate level)
  • Strong all-rounders: acting, singing, and dancing


  • Hard-working, collaborative team players

  • Funny, fast, and self-aware


  • Ensemble-driven, with strong roles across the cast

The timetable:

January 2026: Applications open online
March 1, 2026: Application deadline
March 1 – 5, 2026: Auditions held in New York


March 6 & 7, 2026: Roles offered and accepted


March 8,  2026: Cast meet-and-greet in New York
July 13 – August 2, 2026: Rehearsals in New York
August 4, 2026: Cast departs New York


August 5, 2026: Cast arrives in Edinburgh


August 7–30, 2026: Edinburgh Fringe performances
August 31, 2026: Return flight to New York

The package includes:

  • Round-trip flights from New York to Edinburgh or Glasgow


  • Private airport transfers to and from accommodation


  • Accommodation in central Edinburgh university residences
(private bedroom with shared kitchen and lounge)


  • City travel card for buses and trams


  • Historic Scotland Pass (castles, landmarks, museums)


  • Membership in the In The Fringe Cast and Braw Venues Artist Programme


  • Free tickets to all other shows hosted by Braw Venues

Costs:

Total package cost: $7,500 USD
Payment schedule:

  • 50% deposit ($3,750) upon acceptance of role


  • 25% ($1,875) due by April 1, 2026


  • 25% ($1,875) due by June 1, 2026



What you’ll need:

  • A waterproof jacket and sunscreen (it’s Scotland—both matter)


  • Spending money


  • Personal travel insurance


  • A great attitude and bags of talent
